Deep fried Mars Bar

Done right, this treat will shake the knees of even the most composed connoisseurs. Its seductive texture and warm richness have dissolved the apprehension of more than one courageous traveller. Do not be fooled by the cheap sounding quality of this luxury, for while it is completely simple in nature it must be prepared and cooked in a very particular manner. Both the type and consistency of the batter must be correct to give the best flavour. The wrong type of batter used can turn a sensual culinary experience into a cheap night at the local food court. And the same goes for the texture: the battered Mars Bar must be cooked at the correct temperature and length of time to achieve the desired consistency. Not cooked enough and the finished product may as well be still wrapped in plastic. Cooked for too long and the flavour is cooked away leaving a soggy mess.
